I stubbled across this the other day 16% BA Stout. Poured into a 13 oz tulip glass canned on 10/31/22. Pours a dark brown with a half finger light brown head that leaves a few streaks of lace with pretty solid retention. 4

Aroma is huge whiskey, vanilla, oak, dark chocolate, and coffee grounds. 4

Taste follows whiskey hits immediately, dark chocolate, oaked vanilla, and coffee. 4

Mouthfeel is medium, soft gentle carbonation but a good amount for the ABV, maybe a tad dry, and at 16% huge booze, but still surprisingly approachable. 4

Overall this is a real big stout and I bet this will age extremely well. I still enjoyed fresh, but I bet a year plus and this will be a tad less boozy. 4

Nice pour. Light black. Head dissipated pretty quickly.

Very slight nose, nothing stands out.

Good taste. For such a high ABV, there is really no trace of it. But it does feel pretty thin. Would have expected much more from this beer.

Overpriced - good beer, not worth the $$ - but it does hit like a hammer!!

Boo!
12 ounce can packaged on Halloween, 2022.

Moderate pour into a 4 ounce Brasserie Dieu du Ciel! glass yields a 1/2 inch tan head over a black body with some lacing.

Wonderful nose of espresso, dark roasted malts, bitter chocolate, and rye whiskey.

Taste mirrors nose nicely with all the aromas coming through with all their flavors.
Rye whiskey booze is prevalent throughout, especially on the finish.

Feel is very nice for the abv.

Overall, this was quite a nice surprise and would highly recommend to any coffee, whiskey, or stout drinker!
Cheers!!
