Sampled at the BBF. Was told they take their UFO Pumpkin wort and combined it with more pumpkin and belgian spices.
A - A nice dark amber almost brown pour with a nice almost rocky head that leaves good lacing.
S - Really nice aromas here. Good dark fruits but with an earthy roasted vegetable behind it all. Definately pumpkin and some of the spices that go with it. Kinda like a cross between a good Belgian dark ale and an amped up pumpkin beer.
T - Wow, yeah, this is a pumpkin beer AND a belgian dark ale. How this much flavor can get packed into something thats 5.5% is beyond me. Great earthy, roasted pumpkin notes and belgian spices intermixing with dark fruits. Very good.
M - Again, really good mouthfeel. Nice carbonation keeps this up off the tongue, and the fact that this is only 5.5% makes this super drinkable. Yeah, definately want a 6 pack of this.
O - Wow, another spectacular limited offering from Harpoon. I asked if they planned on bottling this and unfortunately I was told no. Such a shame, easily one of the best "pumpkin" beers I've drank.
