Color is an odd iced-tea shade. Modest foam in the tall tulip. This has a very peculiar faded grainy flavor that is definitely anemic. It tastes more like a watered-down Old Ale than any kind of Saison. The yeasty, drying effect seems to be the only hint of Belgian character.
This is a little fruity, like diluted punch from the little carton. there is an insistent bitterness that comes slowly forward until it dominates the mouthfeel. It is an aspirin sort of bitterness that seems to go with the grapey dregs taste. As a Saison this is about as poor an example as I've had. On tap at World of Beer in Cherry Creek.
