From notes ... enjoyed at Calgary downtown brewsters
A - clear golden orange, arrived with minimal head, no lacing to speak of
S - grassy hops and sweet apricot dominate
T - crisp leafy and fresh cut grass hop flavours, gentle smooth apricot, and light grainy malt
M - fairly light with medium carbonation, a mild hop bitter but smooth
T - a good addition of fruit to a brew without overwhelming it, adding a rich fruit flavour to a pale ale seems to work well, I would like to see this back again

The latest in the Fruit Hog series. According to the bartendress, it's the pale ale with apricot syrup added in the 'process'.
The beer appears a clear medium amber hue, with a thin cap of frothy off-white head, which leaves a filmy wall of lace around the glass as it recedes. It smells of soft caramel malt, bittersweet apricot, and leafy hops. The taste is sweet bready malt, dried apricots, and leafy, somewhat bitter hops. The carbonation is moderate, the body medium weight, a wee bit clingy, but overall quite smooth. It finishes with a reserved emphasis on the zingy hops.
Nice to see the base beer not overridden by the fruit guest star. A hoppy apricot ale - decent, but not exactly a threat to ApriHop.
