My first from Saranac (despite looking for them for several years as their Schwatzbier is listed on the "1001.")
I am giving a quick, open-minded review for three reasons.
First, I didn't know I was drinking a low-cal beer until I read the label. So consider me slightly biased and slowly observant.)
Second, this should be drunk along side its full-cal wit to see if the recipe differs. (It is ranked barely in the top BA quintile
Third, I am the first review and this may have been on the remainder shelf in Florida; indicating it may be retired soon.
I'm not sure why a crafter wants to experiment with cutting flavor more than once.
Looks lack foam. Smells the wit part.Tastes low-gluten: where's the wheat? Sits thin: but what lo-cal doesn't?
But... I must note that I had White 100 with leftover lunch, and the 100 did its job: it made lunch better.
So, maybe that is why Matt brewed it.
Now, my brewer review is going to be more interesting. I went on Matt's website, and I knew they had a history; but I never thought it was this good. Now 3rd and 4th generations of the Matt family are running the brewery. (It almost seems like a Bavarian family brewery. They both even make sodas. And take their sustainability seriously.) As for Saranac's beers: I should have more.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
