Appearance:
Pours a clear, light golden color with decent head and good carbonation that holds up well.
Aroma:
Strong berry aroma that resembles an artificial candy flavor more than natural fruit.
Taste:
The strong artificial berry flavor dominates, followed by just a hint of ale bitterness. Unfortunately, the whole package is very reminiscent of liquid cough medicine.
Mouthfeel:
Light body with good carbonation, which helps a bit but can’t save the flavor issues.
Overall
I tried three other beers from Saranac (Matt Brewing Co.) that ranged from okay to pretty good. This one is easily their worst.

12 oz bottle from an Ingles Market in Brevard, NC.
This has a mixed berry aroma and flavor with a good bit of biscuit. It's far more bitter than sweet, with negligible sourness.
