When I discovered this beer was a lager and aged in tequila barrels, I knew I had to try it. The beer is around 36 degrees and served in Wilie Blecher glass. Ripe limes and fragrant tequila wafted, pouring the beer. A frothy and airy head with average retention. The slow dissipation left some lacing on the glass, impressive. The color charts around SRM 4, straw yellow with golden hues. Crystal clear clarity with a few carbonation bubbles dancing lazily within. The appearance of the beer is exceptional.

Ripe limes and fruity tequila is the dominant aroma. Nosing the beer further, I detect crackers and a hint of floral. The scent of the beer is clean and acute.

The flavors do not match the aromas. The tequila barrel over-powers the lime, floral, and cracker flavors. Oakiness and fragrant agave left a dry finish.
The mouthfeel is crisp and clean. The body is light, has medium carbonation, and has a lighter finish.
The crisp lager notes came through but strained. I enjoyed the beer, despite the heavy barrel finish. Fantastic beer to enjoy on a beautiful summer night.

Pours a cloudy, but otherwise clear golden color. Two finger frothy head forms on the beer upon the initial pour. That head steadily dissipates leaving a thick ring of foam along the outside of the beer. Aroma has notes of tequila, dried oak, lemon-lime juice, and Sprite. Taste follows the nose with notes of tequila, oak, some light malty notes, hints of lemon and lime, with a mildly bitter note on the finish. My biggest complaint with the beer is that the tequila dominates the beer and the lemon/lime is a bit on the subtle side - I would prefer that its a bit more prominent. Feel is light, smooth, easy dinking. Medium carbonation. Overall a solid beer.

12 oz. pour from a can with a 7/6/2020 expiration.....thin almost nonexistent head that dissipated quickly...nice amber color...smell was overwhelmingly limey...I don't recall ever tasting a tequila barrel aged lager, so I didn't know what to expect. This tasted like a nice smooth lager with too much lime. If the barrel imparted anything it was completely overshadowed by the lime flavor. Don't get me wrong, this wasn't terrible. But for the price I paid for 2 cans I may as well have just bought a sixer of Landshark, or something similar, and some limes.

Poured from a can. Orangish in color with a small white head. Smells of lemon, lime and bread. Flavors of lemon, lime and I catch a hint of the tequila. Flavor profile finished slightly sour but not overly sour.

12 oz can

Pours clear golden, white film for a head.

Smells faintly of cereal grains underneath a bright lime citrus fruitiness.

Flavor is of lime, tequila, oak, cereal malts, and hints of corn. The flavor evaporates pretty quickly.

Light to medium body, tingly carbonation on the tongue.

An interesting and refreshingly gulpable lager. The aging adds some interesting notes, although maybe not more than just squeezing a lime into the base version would lend. The flavor runs away a bit too quickly, otherwise this might have been fantastic. As it is, it's still a very fun beer that I will enjoy a few more of.

Crystal clear bubbly golden body with a finger of white foam. Smells of lemon, lime, slight tequila, and sweet malts. Taste is the same, with a dash of honey. Feel is extremely light, somewhat bubbly, bright, and juicy. Barrel is just a long kiss of effect. Super crushable, hello summer! Pairs great with jalapeno poppers or shrimp baja tacos. The wife loved it
