I know I'm a few days early with this one. But why would anyone apologize for Big Star?

had a vintage bottle of Darkness last week, and recently opened a 2008 bottle..tasted amazing!!..I wish all 8yr old bottles tasted this good

Hops have faded, very sweet, very good.

It's not Sunday but I couldn't wait to try a new beer I just got.
SoMe Brewing's Apostrophe IPA. Comes from York, Maine : the stomping grounds of our dear @lordofthewiens
It's made with Mosaic hops. 6% ABV. They seem to have added flaked oats to the recipe.
Beer pours this fine orangish/amber golden color with 2 finger lacing which is short lasting like a Maine summer (not this one).
Smells of fresh pine (once again a nod to the pine tree state) with tangerines and the lovely mosaic trademark aroma.
It tastes like a fine IPA, not of the "NEIPA" kind, but think more like Night Shift Santilli or NoDa Hop drop n roll. Pine, citrus, tangerines, balanced hop bitterness and some faint sweetness at the end from the decent malt backbone. Very well done. Mouthfeel is just ever so slightly dry and leaves one wanting to go for another sip. Most definitely worth trying it if you get SoMe

Good morning! The kids are off to school and I've got the day off! The best part of waking up is Founders in your cup.

 

It's not quite The Stand or It, so it should only take me one month instead of two.

 

Still trying to find some Sierra Nevada Octoberfest, but this is an adequate substitute for now on a rainy morning.

 

I read that Sierra Nevada won't be distributing Oktoberfest in Illinois this year.

 

I see someone is cruisin' for a bruisin' this morning...

 

Hump DAAAAY! I got nothing, but I am feeling a bit sassy today. It's time for the Glass of the Day Awards!

GotD: Despite some #ShamelessPandering, it's hard to deny the salesmanship of @WesMantooth and his wife's beautiful rib stemmed tulip (wtf...) . Cheers and congrats on the GotD, and on the new DD !
2nd: Sometimes you find beauty in the most unpredictable places. Well this mug has beauty that only it's owner can love . @mschrei , it's a lovely "Whistle Wetter". I love the arts and crafts customization! (Looks like that thing once had a lid? )
3rd: As predicted, @BeerVikigSailor keeps bringing the noise. Looks like that glass found some wind in its sail! (Nice Spaten glass too )

Honorable Mentions go out to @meanmutt for the Warsteiner tankard seeing some good use, and to @Marklaker for having no faith in etched improper wine ware (Go Doyers!)

Lol. Just telling the guy what I read.

 

Never had a lid-it's an actual whistle. (See below pic) My wife's late grandfather owned it for years, and since he passed away twenty years ago, it was in storage until my in laws gave it to me. Thanks for the recognition!
