I think i got duped, feedback please.

    So i completed a trade and got an Assassin on my end. I just received my package and It looks like my Assassin was resealed and rewaxed. I havn't contacted the trader, yet I wanted to get your feedback first.

    Here are pictures compared to other assassin bottles I have
    1) The fill is low

    2) No smoothness, my two real bottles have lines right below cap, the dupe doesn't

    3)Again, no smoothness from a different angle

    4) The wax drip in the dupe starts off from the cap....and the bottle is slightly taller

    Could that someone have cracked it open, taken an oz. or so out, filled with CO2 and released & re-waxed it?
    Not sure if the carbonation would still be there, but based on experience with growlers I think it'd last for a few days.
    Definitely grabbing some popcorn and hitting refresh tonight on this one.

    That is a pretty sketchy wax job to say the least. Unless it was dipped by someone that really hated their life that day, I would call bs. Sorry mang

    Definitely not assassin. Its a stout for sure, not barrel aged. Smells like Founders Imperial stout

    Edit: OP, this completely sucks and is one of the scummiest, shadiest things ive ever seen in the beer world, but i am eagerly watching to see how this unfolds
