No problem. It's your right to say what you like. It's just frustrating as someone who hasn't had the opportunity to try these beers to have to pour through Ab-Inbev lectures while trying to figure out how/where to pick it up. Got it, AB-Inbev is worse than Skynet, but 90% of the beer I've had since I moved back here from Europe has been WA/OR local stuff. I should get a pass from being shitted on for wanting to tick a few new beers.

No info on WA release, but thanks for the heads up. Don't miss the cup!

:-) No one gets a pass from being shitted on in this forum. You'll get used to it (and in time, probably even come to enjoy it).

One thing you'll learn, is that anything involving Ab-InBev is going to get some pretty strong/strident opinions (pro and con). That being said, once the beer is released locally, and/or once some of the local taphouses find out when they're going to get their supply, it will almost certainly be posted here (pretty close to immediately).

Just as oh by the way... attended a pretty good size BA stout tasting on Saturday, and damn if the first beer to go wasn't the 2014 BCBCS... even before the KBS and Fremont Rusty Nail. Whatever you may think about Ab-InBev, the beer clearly has a following.

    Did I miss any?

Hey be nice, I'll bring you some smoked salmon

Dear OP, last year I drove down, had a coffee and breakfast in BHam, enjoyed conversation with a few locals from the Ham I hadn't met waiting for 5 minutes in line at E$tation. Went in, greeted by friendly staff, grabbed some 2014, and some random 2013 regular and coffee they had, oh and also copious amounts of KDS that was still on shelves! (which is much better than bcbs imo)

Then to Seattle, quick drive, minimal traffic (WTF in SEATTLE? how did that happen), checked out a few shops in North Ballard area, no BCBS, but discovered some cool stuff. Went to Bellevue and QFC, discovered stacks of BCBS just sitting there no limits, one of them even had it on tap. Watched a college football game over two glasses of it, alone with some dude drinking fizzy lager, and kids shopping with their parents beside me. Weird.

All in all a great experience. Doesn't hurt that BCBS tastes quite good too.

@JonnyBeers.......please tell me you're joking? Also, how the hell did KDS end up in Washington State retail?

Disregard the KDS comment/question. For a second I thought you were referring to KBS. Sorry.

Will be plenty released on Black Friday. Draft is almost non existent, but there should be enough bottles to go around.

Let me get this straight: 2014 BCBCS went before Rusty Nail at your recent tasting??! Please forgive my saying so, but this sounds like the work of sheep. Not that the beer isn't great, but how is it more desirable than something like Rusty Nail, especially in the NW, except by conventional pedigree and possibly outdated hype?

It was still on at Burgundian last night. I wanted Vietnamese Speedway, but that had already blown so I had the BCBCS. I had a 2014 bottle last year and thought that the coffee had fallen off some in comparison. A lot sweeter than I remember.

Yep. Believe me, your reaction was the same as mine.

There were roughly 30 bottles of BA stout on the table, including things like Older Viscosity, Big Voodoo Daddy, Hardywood Ginger Stout, KBS, 2014 Super nebula, KDS, Coffee KDS, 2013/2014 Bbomb, Central Waters Black Gold, three vintages of Abyss, two vintages of Hellshire... you get the picture.

What can I say? A couple of the guys there looked it all over, took a couple of pictures of the line-up, and went right for the BCBCS.

On the bright side... guess who ended up polishing off the rusty nail at the end of the night? :-)

Bourbon County Stout Regular, Coffee, Regal, and Barleywine bottles will be in Seattle. Bourbon County Rare bottles will also be in Seattle but they are a 16.9oz bottle for $60, haha fuck that shit!!!

Had them side by side on Saturday afternoon. You got the clearly superior beer IMHO, even if it is sweet. It's not really a fair comparison though, as regular Viet isn't bourbon barrel aged.

Plenty of people are willing to plunk down $200 a bottle for Utopias, and IMHO, BCR is a better beer. I'm not saying it's worth the $60 premium, just that InBev-Ab will have no problem selling it at that price.
