I don't know if America is in as much darkness as some people say, but I certainly can use some darkness in my beer glass.

Good morning BAs! An extremely wet morning here in NW PA - I literally just got back into the house after picking up the morning paper when the deluge began.

    Today's new drain cleaner:

A really nasty coffee milk stout - tastes like they used real milk which then soured. Much as I love coffee stouts, this one has a date with my drainage system.

Thanks @DrSchnitzengiggle, your help is greatly appreciated!

Yesterday's breakfast beer which I was unable to upload:

As refreshing as the name . . .

Appearance: Light gold, beautiful white cap and lacing.

Aroma: Clear, clean, sparkling hops with sweet malt following.

Taste: Complex melding of citrusy, floral hops with mildly sweet malt. With this hop profile the malt could be lost in less capable hands. Here both stand out while maintaining the hop forward flavor one expects from current IPAs. Hard to pull off such a high wire act but Sweetwater does it with panache.

    Texture: Medium.

Overall: High class IPA for the masses. Mouthwatering flavor combined with ready availability.

Had this for the first time yesterday. Liked it and, though I've never had Dayman, interested to know how it would've compared--think I would've enjoyed a coffee san chocolate iteration more.

I really miss that beer since moving to Arkansas. It was my "go to" summer beer:slight_frown:

I made the trip to Green Bench specifically because of this beer. I don't know if it will take the FL ipa throne from Jai Alai anytime soon, but it is definitely a threat. A lot more bitterness, and a pungent nose. Still plenty of peach, orange, and papaya to give it a juciy tropical flavor. This one was canned 7/13.

    My last Cloudwater: IPA Citra
Hope they brew it again next year. Fruity Vermont yeast, citra hops and a crisp, sweet malty backbone!
