    My closer from last night: Special Holiday Ale by Nøgne Ø/Jolly Pumpkin/Stone

    Pours a viscous maroon brown with a tan head that sticks around. Aroma is of raisins, licorice and sage. Flavor is of raisins, caramel, dark fruit, chocolate, sage and juniper berries. Smooth and syrupy mouthfeel. A very enjoyable winter warmer.

    Hello everyone =) I did a nice walk this morning because it was so warm. I chided myself to walk the other way and not to the beer store but I ended up at a store anyway. While I was there I had to decide which gadget to buy . . . the kitchenaid mixer or this.

    Good morning and Happy Tuesday BA's :confused:! Welcome to a special first installment of 2017 edition of the Glass of the Day Awards! Thanks again everyone for making 2016 GotD's possible, and hopefully we'll make this year's even better. We started off strong, as there were some wonderful displays here yesterday, and after much deliberation amongst the Staff, a champion amongst champions prevails.

    GotD: The teku has significantly gained in popularity over the last couple of years, but this one from one of our favorite glass-o-holics really is something else. Cheers and congrats @BeerVikingSailor for this layered base beauty :slight_smile:!
    2nd: For another o'holic, @dcotom is again pushing the boundaries of proper ware with this "Thistahookalip" (vase) :grinning:.
    3rd: Thistle!!! What better way to start a new of awards than with the Staffs weakness? Thanks for obliging, @bluejacket74 :slight_smile:!

    Honorable mentions go out to @Greywulfken for what I believe is the fist Petrus glass to be awarded ( :grimacing:...! ), and to @WesMantooth for going proper wolf style! Huh...2 wolves in the HM's :rolling_eyes::grinning:.

    Trappistes Rochefort 6. This Rochefort #6 is the oldest Rochefort Trappist beer and was brewed 'empirically' until the end of the Second World War.
