Miscounting states

Ok, that makes sense it's been about a day since I rated Heineken.

 

I finally reconciled my state count. Seems that Landshark Lager (Margaritaville Brewing Co.) does not count for Florida, even though the brewer is listed under Jacksonville. (Before anyone points it out to me, I know it's brewed in St. Louis. At least that's what it says on the bottle, from what I remember.)

 

Yes, from Old Dominion. So my spreadsheet says 39 without FL and my BA state count is at 39 including FL. Could Spoetzl (TX) or Utah Brewers Cooperative (UT) be the source of the problem? I'm really at a loss now.

 

Yes, but I don't remember having problems with any of them. Here's the list:

AL - Straight to Ale
DC - DC Brau
GA - SweetWater
KY - Alltech's Lexington Brewing and Distilling
LA - Abita
ME - Peak Organic
MS - Lazy Magnolia
MT - Big Sky
NE - Zipline
NH - White Birch
NJ - Flying Fish
OK - Prairie
VT - Long Trail

Do Kona and/or Maui count for Hawaii? If no to both, then that's the culprit.

I recently rated a beer from Uinta and my BA state count increased by one. Prior to that, the only Utah beers I'd had were from Utah Brewers Cooperative. My BA count now jibes with my spreadsheet, and the universe is restored to order. (Well, except for that breach in the space-time continuum that sucked Sapporo Premium out of the Japanese Rice Lager category and into the American Pale Lager category.)

 

Can you easily figure out from which of your states you've had beers from a single brewery? I keep my beer info in a spreadsheet, so it was pretty easy for me to narrow it down. If you can, post a list of those states and breweries and we might be able to figure it out.

For me, the real challenge is just beginning. I need 7 more to get to 50, with these remaining: AR, AZ, CT, ND, NM, NV, RI, and WY. This is going to be one hell of a road trip.

 

I know that sounds absurd, but the list of countries I've had beer from adds up to 27, and the number on my profile page used to agree with that, but recently the site identifies that I've had beers from 26 countries.

I double-checked my more obscure countries to make sure their listings hadn't changed, and everything seems to check out. The only thing I can guess is that because we break the USA into States, maybe it isn't being counted as a country anymore?

I tried some rudimentary searches before posting, but apologies if this has been addressed before.

Just went to check on my beer consumed and it's showing I have 48 states completed. I went through my list of "had", clicked on every state and I had at least 1 beer from every state + DC. Not a big deal, just thought I'd point this out.
