Yeah, I know that it still unwinds ppl re. my laser-focus on CANned beers, but unless yer name is "Russ Phillips", you CAN't tell me that you saw this movement CANming!

Other than the now-obvious: ZERO-light struck; portability; recyclability & fresher taste, now comes the graphics.

Ever looked at a paper label vs. its CANned CANterpart? The process of transferring a color picture onto an aluminum cylinder is amazing, but according to the Crown peeps, it has not evolved in a LONG time. Still, the colors & graphics POP on a CAN as opposed to a paper label. It makes the recent CANned beer revolution that much more appealing, IMHO. I am not an artist, but I like looking at art and I have an appreciation of hues, tints, tones & shades that CAN elude others.

My current fave is courtesy of Tavour & Mazama Brewing with their Mosaic Eruption India Pale ( https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/31780/133508/ ) which has some of the most variegated, eye-popping graphics that I have seen in a while!

    Weigh in with yours!

I've always said that if Clown Shoes put as much effort into making great beer as they do on their can & bottle designs, they'd really have something. Cheers, sir!

I gotta say that some of the most striking graphics are those on Tired Hands cans. Some of them are pretty outrageous, bordering on disturbing. Case in point, the can art for Alien Church:

    You mean like this:

I'm kidding about that, but with all of the competition out there, the above Czech beer can is also about as nice as it gets.

But to go along those specific lines instead (rather than simply being pleasing to the eye), I'd offer this one:

Ninja vs. Unicorn is one of my all-time examples! Beer = great; graphics = off the hizzy. More impetus for me to relocate to the Midwest.

There are definitely graphics that have downright sold a beer and voice versa.

I haven't had these two beers yet, but I really want to try them. Hopefully it's the contents as well as the graphics

If you take a close look at the Czech can, you'll see that it's printed to look like branding burnt into wood. It's a woody can. How can you not like that?
