    Interesting and appalling.

Interesting to see the demographic breakout of the users of this site.

Appalling that every single one of you has missed all of my birthdays! Come on man, an aged and respected member of this site should be shown more love. Send me your favorite beer for my next birthday!

It's long been a pet-peeve of mine, but given that broad range of ages (which could easily allow for 3 generations of beer drinkers from one family), why not kill the use of expressions like:

    "when I was a kid"
    "when we were in college..."
(and the worst) "back in the day"

... when discussing beer, since their use really gives the reader no !@#$% idea what time period is being discussed! :grimacing:

Hey all you kids, 73 and proud of it.

You can state numbers in many different ways to make a point -- now that we've entered a new decade I realized a few days ago that I've now lived during 9 decades. Now that seems old!

Why should there be a distinction? Savvy veterans are old dudes, and vice versa.

Age and experience (with a little treachery learned from experience) win out over youth and skill any day.

Numbers are pretty much what I expected. That being said...

    @Todd Anyway to break up the 65+ category into 10 year buckets, i.e. 65-74, 75-84, 85+?

I could for our numbers, but the ranges were dictated by Google Analytics initially.

Interesting! At 29 I'd not have guessed that I was in one of the two age range majorities. That might have something to do with the fact that I mostly only frequent the WBAYDN threads and I often feel like the youngest person there. Not that that's a bad thing!

I would have guessed you were a bit older based off of your beer selections and posts in said threads.

Exactly. Perfectionists about rules ruin all of the rules. I am proud of my age and do not hide by any level of anonymity

I'll take that as a compliment! My inner old man is much stronger than my inner child.

kinda surprised the age of members here doesn't skew higher considering how long BA has been around.

Just look at how many of us have ranged through 3 categories over the years.
