    Happy Monday yall! Hope you had a nice and relaxing Easter, and enjoyed some good beers, but it's a new day, so that calls for a new beer before I get some rest to actually start my day.

    I got me some cheap lager I've never seen before called Calidad Original. For 6.99 though that was a deal I could pass up for a six pack of beer lacking a macro label. Only a bit of old lager musty notes but otherwise it's a decent cheap light lager with some actual hops you can taste, and no sticky sweet mouth feel or taste.

    After doing some digging it isn't made by any of the big beer brands out there but it is made by a weird brewery. They're based out of SoCal, but have no taproom, or beers other than this one, and don't have their address listed on their website at all. Apparently they just moved into colorado after building a larger industrial brewery that they are hoping can cover some nationwide expansion. Once again their denver brewery's address isn't listed on their website. Weird company with a weird model. Obviously not run by someone that has a history in brewing but it turns out it's a guy that started a profitable chain of Californian coffee shops. Go figure.

    Anyways that's enough rambling for tonight but it looks like Tha macros have a new enemy. Mini-macros. That's the only thing I could think to call this type of brewery, but anyways cheers I'm gonna go crack open another calidad.

    New Glarus: Fat Squirrel
    It's ok nothing great but I like it.
    My first beer since about 7:00 AM Sunday morning. I slept till 2:00 PM. micro amount of a hang over. But it went away fast. When I got up and went outside the squirrels were wondering if something had happened to me it appeared. They got plenty of good food for Easter along with the chipmunks and rabbits. One rabbit was eating peanuts along side the squirrels so I had to go back in and get him organic banana and carrots. Peanuts are not good for bunnies.

    Verdant - People, Monday, Space, Time

    This is an amazingly tasty session pale ale, clocking under. 4% ABV. Tastes even better drinking it on the balcony.

    Run Wild IPA - Athletic Brewing Co.

    Today is my Sunday. This "beer" shocked me - it actually tastes like an IPA, but is N/A.
    Edit - because of this beer, I'm down to 3 states left to get all 50.

    Pours a semi murky darker golden color. The head is slightly off white, 1 finger and long lasting, with some lacing on the glass.
    The nose has some tropical hop notes that are quite pleasing.
    This N/A beer surprises me - it tastes like an IPA. I get some mango and melon up front with a slight pine finish.
    The body is decent, Not really watery, and the hops linger a bit in my throat.
    This is a solid N/A beer, and if I ever had to quit drinking, I could live with this.

    The balcony is nice but now I'm back indoors drinking some Cloudwater. My bro @JamFuel is not joking when he says that these chaps are the real deal...

    Having a NA Athletic Brewing Golden ale. This is pretty good for a NA beer - crisp and refreshing.

    Perfect for a morning thirst quencher. @vabeerguy - I'm a man of my word, I picked up my Maine Beer offerings for Saturday night so hoping to toss one back virtually with you on Saturday evening.

    This is my first beer from them, and I'm quite pleased.

    This beer pours pitch black with a thick 4 finger brown head. The head retention is quite good and long lasting, and there's some good lacing on the glass.
    The nose has notes of chocolate and caramel.
    The flavor has a lot of raisin and plum in it, backed up by chocolate and caramel. Hints of coffee are also in here. There's also a bit of bitterness on the back that balances out the sweetness up front.
    The body is pretty good for a 9% beer.
    This is my first beer from them, and I'm impressed.

    Drinking Firestone Pivo Pils. I haven't seen this beer on the shelves at less than a year
    old in ages. The six pack I bought Saturday was packaged 3/10/22. It's a legit Pils

    Went for a hike through the forest and out to the lake. Really nice day. Too nice. We need moisture soon. Lake level is about as low as I can remember.
