    look: 4 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.5

    Nice appearance; dark, copper-like amber; modest carbonation; thin yet lasting khaki colored head, creamy texture. Incredible aroma of graham cracker, rye, orange peel; very aromatic. The taste picks up from the aroma; earthy sweetness complemented with notes of vanilla, coriander, cherries. Heavy body; outstanding soft, velvety feel on the palate; semi-dry overall.

    This is just an incredible take on the dubbel style. The beer is phenomenal based just on the aroma and flavor. It is rather unique, completely enjoyable, and certainly makes me wish I had another bottle or two on hand.

    Awesome Lager, hope to hunt down a fresh six pack or twelve before their swan song.

    Your review makes me wish I went to Smog City instead of Monkish in January, though rain was also a factor in not hitting Smog City over the weekend.

    Have a great California Stout as my second and last of four Final Four entries. Really hope this beer advances in the final to face Bell's Two Hearted.
