Hi everyone, name is Tom, live in central/northern California. Use to be a collector, worked in a Bevmo many years ago and then worked in the wine industry for over a decade. I have a small collection of beer from 10-15 years ago still, some refrigerated, some that I've just left on shelves, not sure if they are still good or not. Thought I'd check out this community to talk beer.

    Cheers!
    Tom

Welcome!! There is a great cellar thread HERE that you should check out. You can review older beers and let us know how they are tasting! Cheers!

You came to the right place to 'talk beer' Tom. Welcome to the site, and I'll look forward to seeing you in the forums. The cellaring forum that @Beersnake1 linked above is probably a very good place for you to find out whether your stored beers might be good or not. Of course, regardless of whether you get a 'thumbs down' or a 'thumbs up' in that forum of any of the beers that you have stored, you know you're going to open them to find out for yourself. Pick one today and then come back and tell us how it went. I'm just as curious as you.

I'm not going to take the time to look each one up, so I'll ask you if any of them are under 8% abv? That's my recommendation on where to start. You probably shouldn't expect a great beer, but you never know. If you do it, let us know how it goes.

    Well, this ticketed my OCD…

Most of these should age well. All will be interesting.

I'd say drink Old Rasputin 12th Anniversary first. I love OR, but they don't hold up well at all. 10+ years, it's bound to be "awful". :sunglasses:

Would expect the Abacus & Sucuba to be the best of your bunch, followed by XV & XVI.

I opened up Velvet Merkin 2013 about 2 years ago. Won't be awesome, but will be drinkable.

Didn't know they even made hazy IPAs 13 years ago?? Time flies, I guess.
