The only question I have is..... why is there not a straight coffee bcbs? Why is that not a thing every year?

Quantities were sent earlier to beer media members. I've listened to one podcast which has already reviewed them.
It might be pragmatic to check or follow the Chicago-area thread for BCBS. (Warning - it is 43 pages long as of today.:astonished:)

That might be the opposite of pragmatic, if not a complete waste of time. Early indications (Ft. Point Market, Star Market Allston, Gordons Waltham) are that Boston area will get Regular, Caramella, Special #4, and Kentucky Fog. Not a bad selection and while it would have been nice to see Birthday or Anniversary make it here, not entirely surprising that we're not seeing any, at least so far.

I used to be on that list! Damn, [name redacted], I thought we were cool! I suppose this means I break into last year's stash. I think I have one or two left.

I am usually in Maine on black Friday so can't help that much. Nikki's Liquors is the consensus best store in RI, so they likely get all the variants that make it to the state. However, keep in mind this is where ALL the craft fans seem to go, so they also typically have a line at open and sell out fairly quick. Don't know if anything will change on that front (whether it gets released before Friday or if less customers will hit the store), so I'd keep an eye on their social media. If you strike out there, High Spirits Liquor down the street next door to Whole Foods has a nice general selection as well although I'm unsure how their BCBS stock will be.

I recently moved to eastern VT - do i have any chance of finding variants? If so any stores in the St J area?

I dunno, I saw some of the variants for weeks afterwards at places like Whole Foods in MA.

Bottles on the east side might be a good place to check out.

Anyone know if the 10-year Anniversary is being distributed to MA?

VT doesn’t see many/if any variants, regular still takes a little bit of effort. I’ve had my best luck at random grocery stores when I wasn’t even looking for beer. Lucky we have lots of trade bait.

Looks like Redstone Stoneham dropped Regular at 6pp. Interesting to see all of these drops in advance of Black Friday, I assume it's to avoid the big crowds and lines that would normally occur at some of these places. Missing Stoddards a little more as we get closer to Wednesday as that had been a staple the night before Thanksgiving for a few years.

I'm not the warrior I used to be and can't shoot out to Boston-area spots today, but should have bandwidth tomorrow to search for BCBS in the Outer Cape.

Traditionally I've had luck at Windmill Liquor (although typically never found variants there). Anyone aware of other spots on the Cape I ought to consider?

No variants for the Cape, their distributor L. Knife doesnt get them because they don't push enough of AB's "crafty" options like Widmer, Kona, Redhook, Elysian... all you will find is the regular. The store I manage in Kingston already got the regular on Monday so its out there now

Just got an email that Yankee Spirits will be doing online only orders Friday for the regular, Fog, Caramella, and #4. No info on pricing or limits.

Kingston, huh? Any chance your store has variants? Sitting on the Expressway now - could talk wifey into a pit stop.

L Knife is distributor for the Cape and South Shore, so this store will not have variants either.

I think it's safe to say that Birthday and Anniversary will not be around New England at all. Luckily the early reports of OG 2020 are that it's a very strong vintage.
