Looking for some help on finding some 5 Liter mini kegs that aren't Heineken...etc. I was able to find a Hofbrau Oktoberfest. Wondering if anyone would know where I could get a Bells Two Hearted Ale or other Oktoberfest Looking around MKE area for Big Packer Party Bash on Sunday Cheers
I'm not sure how close you are to a Woodman's, but they used to have one of the better selections of mini-kegs.
Try Total Wine & More. Also DiscountLiquor. No idea what they may have, but those are 2 of the more well-stocked stores, besides Woodman's, in the Milwaukee area. Don't hold your breath, tho. I've rarely seen Oktoberfest beers in mini-kegs. Also, TwoHearted isn't an Oktoberfest. It's an IPA. You could also look into filling growlers at Milwaukee Brewing and/or Lakefront Brewing. They have pretty good Oktoberfests.
Just ask your local retailer about them. It'll take 2 minutes for them to call their distributor and ask what's in stock. Beware though, mini kegs come in a case of 2. Be prepared for that conversation.
Thanks for the help. I have called around to a lot of liquor stores but the answers I get are usually super vague and not helpful. This is why I posted this here to see if anyone had seen anything around.
I checked Woodmans falls and all they had was a Reisdorf Kolsch. might check another woodmans if I have time. cheers
yes, I know Two Hearted is an IPA. I was alluding to the Hofbrau Oktoberfest beer that I mentioned in my earlier comment.
They're a tough, everyday sell and always sell better when kept cold. I can't imagine many places having more then the usual suspects in stock (Heineken/Newcastle). I'd just call whoever and see what they can get in. Here's Beechwoods current inventory.
