Hello everyone, I am going on an Alaskan Cruise soon. I will be on the cruise for 7 days stopping at Skagway (Alaska), Juneau (Alaska), Tracy Arm (Alaska) and Victoria British Columbia (Canada). After the cruise Ill be staying in Seattle for 3 days. Any suggestions on craft bars, cellars, breweries, brew pubs, restaurants, excursions to go to in all of those areas? Thank you in advance. Can't wait for this trip.
Skagway: Skagway Brewing. It's right at the end of the commercial area on the main drag (Broadway). Can't miss it. Great beers and food. There's also Gold Rush which is a little out of town and would require a cab or shuttle, or a longer walk, and their hours are weird. Juneau: Alaskan Brewing is the only game in town as far as breweries. You can get a round trip shuttle from downtown for like $15. It's only a tasting room, and the majority of what's on will likely be on somewhere else in town, but if you really want to get the experience, that's the way to do it. The Hangar has the best selection of handles and bottles of any bar in town, and decent food. Across the street in the Goldbelt Hotel is McGivney's Downtown - decent selection of handles, good food. The Alaskan Hotel frequently has stuff on that no one else in town has, but be wary of dirty tap lines. Those are probably the top three bars in the downtown area with regards to good beer.
There's a ton of info here: https://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/visiting-seattle-summer-2016-update.432250/ . Victoria is nice and has a good beer scene, and I'll defer to our friends in BC to fill you in there, but, here's the places listing: https://www.beeradvocate.com/place/list/?city=Victoria&c_id=CA&s_id=BC
Black Cloud, thank you for your tips on Alaska. I am heading up there and will be going to each of the place you mentioned in your post. I am looking at trying out those breweries. Thanks again, KMS57
