Wow, this came out of left field for me. Will we be seeing bottles here too? And jerks or not, they makes some damn fine IPA's.

Yeah, total surprise to me, too. I thought somebody was looking for a place to shop in Alpine before I clicked on the thread .

Im not a fan of Cloverleaf Tavern either. Ive been once and was disappointed and would not go back. Went for the Terrapin Cinna roll tapping. Well we were all shafted. It was deff NOT cinna roll I had a bottle so I knew what it would taste like. I told the owner, they got duped. What a waste of time and money. it was $16 for 2 glasses. 4 oz pours.

Wow, $8 for a 4oz pour of CRWnB? That beer was pretty good, but not $8 good. So they tried to pass off a different beer as CRWnB? That's pretty messed up

Sure was messed up. They served it with a fresh cinna roll on top of the glass. They were terrible too. It was reg wake and bake. Deff not worth the $8, but it was my first time so I didnt really know the pricing. Well now I see how they price beers.....WAY OVERPRICED

Pretty funny, Green Flash v. Green Flash Acquisition. Guess it is easy to get labels approved in such such a situation.

I went to both Green Flash and Alpine right before the acquisition and enjoyed both immensely. Obviously I have weighed in on my thoughts regarding Alpines response to the poster who got the rude text/facebook/tweet/whatever in that thread. Prior to the Green Flash acquisition of Alpine no one could say a bad thing about Alpine. Here in the Mid-Atlantic forums we see people pretty much putting up with Spring House's prematurely rolled out membership club and frankly what I see nothing other than indifference. Imagine Spring House gets bought by Victory tomorrow. Now imagine the response of Spring House when they get a text/facebook/tweet/whatever asking if an exception can be made for their special circumstances? I imagine the relief of FU money would prominently come into play. The king of membership, Bruery, rarely makes exception thus the trustee/proxy set up. Amirite?

Thanks for the post Rbl - That's pretty fucked up. I love Alpine beer but with that kind of response I think I'll pass on giving them any of my $$

I was there and it was way more than 4 ounces. As for the beer, it wasn't reg wake n bake. Much like the french toast, there were negligible differences. But either way more alipine for me!

I can't defend Alpine's actions but will come to Cloverleaf's defense as it is a great beer bar with pretty fair pricing. I have been there more times than I can count and to many releases (KBS,CBS, Parabola,Sucaba, 120, etc.) and never had anything less than a 10 - 12 oz. pour on any high abv special release so it's hard to believe they would serve Cin. WnB (or Reg. WnB) in a flight or taster glass. And every beer on the CLT menu is priced and says the size of the pour, so there should be no surprises when you get your bill. Their beer menu and price of each beer is even posted online http://www.cloverleaftavern.com/beer.shtml so you may want to give the place another try.

So is this a one time deal with Alpine being in NJ, or can we expect a steady supply from here on out?

I dk how steady it'll be, but it's definitely not a one time thing.
