I feel that way about every brewery. Most breweries just try to put out what they can and see what people like or hate, in the end some of it sticks and the rest just hangs on. That doesn't mean I dislike the brewery just those specific beers they make. You just have to keep trying till a brewery redeems itself, or comes out with so much bad stuff you never buy from them again... either or.

I felt the same way about BB. Tasted like watered-down bourbon. But the smell...oh, my God...sickly sweet mess...totally awful

I am not the biggest Founders fan, but drinking Backwoods Bastard with BBQ Cornuts? What were you expecting? I think Backwoods is one of their better beers.

Yeah man, I knew it wasn't the corn nuts that got me sick. I kind of got angry with the experience and did a little Texas justice on the review for Backwoods. I regret it, but what's done can't be undone.

It wasn't the BBQ corn nuts, I eat em with every beer and I never got such a knot in my stomach like Founders BB gave me. Any other man would have went to the ER and been on a morphine drip. Me...I toughed it out, Texas style.

Almost every brewery is hit or miss, at least occasionally, depending on the styles they excel or fail at. Beer should be judged individually, on its own merits.

Three Floyds. My favorite and least favorite beers from the same brewery. Still love those guys, though.

Was going to say that, but seemed to obvious. Now, after all these years, I just want to punch them and their egos. Still make some fine beers, but I have lost a lot of respect for them.

I'm not sure if it's the bbq'd corn nuts, or the Texas style, but I'm pretty sure it's your problem.

Diamond Bear. Hoppier it gets the less I like it. They do some tasty malty brews.

From Texas, not my style. I rate a beer like I would a wine, without food. Most beers I enjoy I wouldn't necessarily drink with food "Palet Wrecker". I usually pick a beer based on what I plan on eating. Rating beer with food that has an aggressive spice/taste is doing the beer a disservice. Some pair well with certain food some not. Kind of like rating a beer while chewing gum. "I liked the feel of the beer, but the mint was over aggressive"
