Poll #40 ended with two changes getting votes from more than 50% of the voters, but they got the same number of votes. So this poll will determine which (or both) change(s) actually happens. That way we can be sure, in context, that more than 50% wanted (or not) both changes together.

This is a simple plurality vote.

For those looking ahead, after this poll will be the fermentation temperature(s) polls, then the Water polls.
This poll will be open for 48 hours.

(For those who don't know what I'm talking about, see these threads for the first two beers we did (and the bazillion ensuing polls and the final recipes...

I could have prevented this poll by voting in the previous poll.

Just thought of something. Can you make a starter with both WLP565 and the Brett strain in the same container? If we are going to co-pitch. Just wanna kill two birds with one stone.

Personally if we're co-pitching, I would consider NOT making a starter for the Brett. But, that's because I wanted to pitch at bottling.

But we already voted to make a .5 L starter, unless we're throwing out that poll as well and re-vote due to new brett strain in play.

I guess I just assumed we'd have to, since they were two separate polls. I mean, we're also no longer pitching at 1.033.

Unless I'm reading it wrong what was wrote in the first post in this thread it doesn't look like it.

If anyone feels that (in the event this poll finishes the way it looks like it will) we need to revisit Brett starter size, speak up here. My guess is that the result would probably be the same (0.5 liters), but we'll do it if there's enough call for it.

I voted for both. I can't feature checking my gravity for the right time to pitch my brett. Also, with the sacc strain being notorious for stalling, I think the brett will gain a foothold at the point where this happens. So I vote nay on the brett starter...

Either one works for me as far as a starter is concerned. No starter for brett will be one less step which I'm OK with.

    Another vote for no starter.

Looks like the Brett strain will be changed to WLP650 and that it will be co-pitched with the Sacch strain. There's enough clamor here for a revisit on the starter size, so that will be next.
