While it pales in comparison to the delay in box, I'd be curious to see what the BIF organizer has to say about what seems to be a miscommunication in alerting the OP to the potential of a delay in shipment.

I have last contacted Jeff 2//9 letting him know I was deliquint to trade and apologized. He did send a nice nice box and our deal was only for a vanilla noir and am also send his box this week. Again time and family issues got the best the last two months. Again no excuses. But I am one that does believe in karma and am making this right.

I have complete confidence in @Nachos4two making this right.

However I have to say I do really like the "scarlet letter" warning on the icon until such time as things are corrected. I think it really serves as a great warning to proceed with caution to any potential trade partners AND a big incentive to repair any outstanding issues for the BA in question. Well done mods!

This is a good reminder to all of us not to just look at the percentage next to a persons name, but to at least scan the feedback a person has received. This trader has received some neutral feedback in the past for slow shipping, communication, & poor packaging.

It probably belongs in a different thread, but right here is a solid argument to include "neutral" feedback the same as "negative" in the percentage of successful trades. If his trading percentage would have been 90% vs. 100% (until the last trade) it might give people more pause before trading.

Good on the bad trader for owning up & trying to make this right, but a pattern of behavior like this leaves you wondering: why are people trading with him at all anymore?

I was thinking the same thing, 98% doesn't look bad, but further reading shows 4 questionable ok trades. Maybe ok and bad need to be lumped together or maybe show two %'s, bad by itself and bad/ok together.

Yea I agree with this - when you look at the 4 "ok" trades, the comments themselves are pretty negative. Another option could be to weight "ok" trades as 0.5, good trades as 1, and bad trades as 0. So someone with 4 good trades and 1 "ok" trade would be 90%, as opposed to 100% under the current system? But really, this just goes to show that you should look at the actual feedback and not just the percentage.

Not to pile on the OP but I had the exact same horrible communication with Nachos when we were in the negotiation phase. I'd write several complete sentences and he'd respond with two word answers which kind of bugged me and then he just went silent. I decided to look at his feedback and there were a lot of things like 'poor communication' and 'slow shipping' so I just wrote him off even though at the time his was at 100%. He wrote back several weeks later writing, simply - 'So, we doing this?' My first and only do not trade list candidate. Good communication is the most important thing in trading and trusting your gut. I'm glad I didn't get burned and I'm sorry you did, OP.

And once again magically a bad trader thread gets someone to send beer they should have sent months ago. Glad to hear you got your box and the power of the community has helped.

Hopefully @Beertracker who has also been screwed gets his box.

Please make sure you leave appropriate feedback (IMHO Bad) to warn your fellow traders. This guy has some really questionable trading behavior and people need to be aware.

ahh , my bad. I am guessing there are no trade requests on these kind of "trades".

Would be nice if the system had a way of putting this as part of person's trading history.

I completed a trade with Nachos about a year back, and it went smooth. I saw his iffy feedback, and simply asked that he ship first. He did so and it ended up being a good experience. This is obviously not applicable to a BIF, and I am not knocking anyone who was stiffed by this BA. Just pointing out that it's key to have someone who you might not fully be comfortable trading with ship first.
