The discussion about Untappd in the Camille's thread prompted me to start this one. Are there any bars/restaurants in the Boston area with live draft lists? I was in the Northwest last week and a few awesome beer bars had live tap lists that were updated instantly (or seemingly instantly). The tap list in the bar was displayed on an LCD screen, which was mirrored on the website. Loved the idea, as even the best beer bars around here aren't always up to date.

    Examples from my trip:

It's such a great idea and seemingly not that hard to implement, really wish more places around here did it. Even the best beer bars only update a couple times a week (at most) in my experience.

I seem to remember @mythaeus posting about some sort of live beer tracking app that even showed you how much was left in the keg. can't remember if the bar developed themselves or if it was an off-the-shelf product. maybe he can fill us in.

A thread similar to this one came up a couple of years ago. Basically there are no local bars that update in real time; some do a better job than others of updating their websites. For a while, Lord Hobo and Stoddard's appeared to be using an app called Tap Hunter, sporadically, but they haven't updated there since 2013.

Not in Boston, but Whetstone Station in Brattleboro, VT, has a pretty slick system that auto updates their taps online.

That's very cool. Picco in my neighborhood deserves a mention for keeping its beer listing extremely up to date online.

Here is some software that does this http://digitalpour.com/

It feeds to an LCD screen in the bar and also to the website, so you can see how much is left of each beer. Really nice. The LCD screen even shows Untappd check-in activity from patrons at that location.

Here is an example of it in action from Oregon http://orencotaphouse.com/taplist.html

That is boss. Looks very similar to what I saw in the Northwest. Really wish some places around here would invest in something similar.

There's a few bars on BeerMenus, but most aren't constantly updating. Individual websites usually the best bet.

That's even cooler. Now I'm really jealous we don't have that in Boston.

At novare res they use a chalk board and write kicked on one column and what replaces it on the adjacent column.

An LCD screen wouldn't hurt though
