    BA is showing 27. I counted at least 16 others I know I've had but haven't reviewed on here.

    Also made me realize I really need to try some stuff from Brothers. I've had 7 of the top 10 but Brothers is apparently the #1 beer in VA - I agree with Trickery as #2 because it's hands down the best VA beer I've had so yeah, gotta try that #1.

    You're right. I just thought at first you meant "I think some should be here that aren't" but there are higher rated beers that aren't on here. Alewerk's BB Imp Pumpkin is actually rated higher than the #1 on the list.

    I guess maybe they don't make the cut if they don't have #xx of reviews?

    A beer needs 10 written reviews to make any of the BA lists, for this reason the lists are partially arbitrary.

    no one is gonna fault someone for not getting on those. small batches, limited availability, some only brewed once or twice.

    Me: ✖ You've had 40 beers on this list.

    That devil's backbone adventure pack FTW. like five of the beers on the list were from that.

    Looking at the beers, I see different ratings in different places.

    The rating on the brewer's site is different from the rating on the Top Beers from VA list.

    For example, the top beer on the list is Resolute Coconut from Brothers with a rating of 4.48, but if one goes to the Brothers brewery site, the rating is 4.65.

    Anyone know why?

    I looked it up.

    Here is the reasoning:

    "Q: The ratings seem out of sync?

    The lists are based on weighted rank (WR), which takes the number of Reviews into consideration. As such, the weighted average (Avg) and WR will be different based on the set of beers being viewed."
