Pipeworks/Tired Hands Marilime Law. Lime is just the wrong citrus for an IPA, in my book. Only beer from Pipeworks I haven't liked.

I've loved just about every Bruery beer I've had, but Hottenroth is disgusting. Let it ferment for another few weeks will ya?!

I thought Tumescence was OK, nothing amazing that's for sure (haven't had the other two). Hottenroth tastes like rotten vegetables to me. Having brewed a handful of berliner weisses, Hottenroth tastes like how my berliners taste halfway through the fermentation - just not right.

I fed Deschutes Abyss '14 to the drain. Way too bitter for me. Same with Ballast Point's VaS. I've had both in the past and really enjoyed them, but not the last batches I tried.

Damn, man, I came here all fired up after reading the title "Beer Fails", as if it was publicly renouncing precious, precious beer. OH, BEER FAILS, DOES IT?!

Then I figured it out and felt a little awkward.

Anyway, regarding the question at hand, the only beer that comes to mind is Full Sail's new Session IPA. Let's just say it makes an Easy Jack or Go-To taste like a Heady Topper. Normally I like just about everything Full Sail does (solid but not world class, certainly), but this one is pretty tragic.

New Glarus Thumbprint Cherry Stout....You'd think a brewery that has such a handle on fruit-infusion would get this one right. This beer was a ground pour, not even a drain pour - couldn't make my pipes drink it either!

Love Hottenroth as well, so excited that it's about to be available year-round.

I knew there was something technically off about that beer. First time I had it was in the bottle and it wasn't offensive but I found it to be boring (I think the bottle was old). Since then, I've tried two tasters of it when I've seen it on draft and both times I smelled it and it smelled exactly like vomit.

It seems like threads like this pop up regularly and I'm always a sucker for them, so I'll pick a beer that I have yet to mention on this forum: CCB Barrel-Aged Big Sound. My buddy ordered a pour at Huna Day '11. He absolutely adores anything aged in a barrel but even he had trouble choking it down. I had a few sips and it was godawful. Just way too much booze and barrel presence. Astringent and acrid as all hell. I'm sure that, since then, they've adjusted the time on barrels and it's probably not that intense anymore. But I personally am not a fan of the regular Big Sound either so it's probably still not for me.
