I'm a midwesterner headed out to the northeast for a golf trip and would love some good recommendations for taprooms or good beers to try. I will be spending time in Providence, RI then heading to southern Mass. and eventually we will be in Connecticut and end up in Pennsylvania in the West Chester/Philly area. Thanks in advance for the help!!

If in providence, hit Track 84 in Warwick and Nikki's Liquors in providence. Jacks Abby is about 30 minutes away in mass. Where will you be in MA? If you mean SE MA, rose alley and the pour farm in New Bedford are great. Also, if Beer'd in stonington ct is awesome, but growler fills are Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays

Well, you'll be close to Victory when you are in the WC/Philly area, so definitely stop at the brewery. You might pass near Troegs as well, and I'd definitely recommend stopping there too.

We are playing golf in Northbridge, MA so anywhere in that area would be good. We may make the trip to Boston, but I'm not sure yet.

Julio's Liquors is relatively close. Hit Worcester-armsby abbey and grab some wormtown at peppercorn's. Treehouse brewing is somewhat close by but has limited hours for fills.

If you are going to be in the West Chester area I would definitely recommend stopping by Victory. Troegs is worth a stop as well if you are traveling near Hershey. I would highly recommend stopping by Tired Hands in Ardmore. You won't regret that one!

I can't recommend Treehouse enough. Everything they do is good, but keep an eye out for Julius, one of the best IPAs you'll ever have. Check their website for beers on tap and hours, as Jwale mentioned they are limited but have expanded recently. And allow for up to 1-1.5hrs if you hit them at a peak time. But worth it.

If you do make it to Boston, don't miss Trillium. Also fantastic stuff.

For a beer bar in West Chester, make sure you check out Side Bar. Sounds like a fun trip, enjoy!

Another West Chester, PA place worth visiting: Iron Hill - West Chester.

    Cheers!

Very true, and considering it and Side Bar are quite literally almost across from each other, it's a no brainer!

In providence check out Rogue Island, in pawtucket check out dohertys east ave, newport go to noreys or pour judgement, westerly area go to grey sail and malted barley, narragansett area you can try and hit up proclamation and mews has a decent amount of good beers with good food but itll be busy soon since URI will be back in session.
