Beer Trading Update Log (2016)

Greetings, Beer Traders!

Thought we'd kickoff the New Year with a new log and much needed update.

Too many users have ignored or abused the repost rules for far too long. This resulted in a lot of reports from other users, a lot of warnings issued by mods and subsequent tears.

Thread Limit
Thanks to @Mike, we just applied some custom code to the forums that removes the need for the repost rule. Its goal is to reduce reports/warnings/hurt feelings, force users to put a bit more effort and thought into their offers and restrict those who were essentially over-posting, cross-posting or spamming offers.

Currently, here's the deal:

• Users may only post a new trade thread once every 24 hours in any ISO or In-Person forum. So if you post in ISO:FT, you can't post again in any other ISO or In-Person forum for 24 hours.
• Upon posting, the ability to post is disabled until the restriction expires.
• Deleting your thread doesn't bypass this restriction. Once you post, it counts. This includes threads removed by mods.
  
• Users still have the ability to edit/delete at will.
• Feel like posting the same offer as the one you did the day before? Go for it! But it's your one thread for the day.
• All of the above applies to mobile too.
• Beer Trading Rules have been updated.

Open Trades with Partial Feedback
They've been lingering for years, but no more.

Instead of purging them, open trade requests older than 180 days with partial feedback will be tagged as "closed" and removed from your open trades stats during the next stats update. This does a few things.

1. Keeps it simple.
2. Gives the vast majority of trades some time/breathing room.
3. As we're tracking who owes feedback, we'll be building more trade history and eventually we can do something creative with the data; like auto-penalize those who consistently fail to leave feedback.

I've applied the update to nearly 2,000 lingering trades! Stats will update during the next user stats update, daily thereafter or the next time you interact with the feedback system.

Forum Reorganization
Minor updates, but it should make finding and using the Beer Trading forums and supporting posts easier.

• Moved "Beer Trading" out of "Subcultures" and under its own forum category.
• Consolidated beer trading help posts under the site's main Help forum, applied the "Beer Trading" prefix and created a link under the Beer Trading category to the prefix group.
• Updated links and added redirects.
