For years, I’ve had a tradition of drinking Anchor Steam Christmas Beer the night before XMAS. I had actually collected the bottles for almost 40 years. So I’m sad they are (at least temporarily) out of business and this is no longer an option. I still bought Samuel Smith’s Winter Warmer and am drinking it now. I used to always get Sierra Nevada’s Winter Warmer, but now that they’ve moved to cans, it isn’t the same. does anyone else have beers they especially miss?

I also miss Anchor Steam's Christmas Ale. Was able to snag 3 magnums the last year they brewed it. I'll add Pete's Wicked Ale to the list. (Might be more nostalgic than anything)
Otter Creek Mud Bock Tremont Ale Smuttynose Robust Porter Catamount Porter Magic Hat Heart of Darkness Wolaver's Oatmeal Stout Pretty Things Jack D'Or Rapscallion Creation To summarize: I am old.
Smuttynose Robust Porter is still around at least in my part of NJ. Usually within BB date, the times I’ve checked at least.
So many great ones that are no longer with us, however off the top of my head, these three come to mind.. Oh, and an honorable mention to He'Brew Bittersweet Lenny's R.I.P.A. - An excellent beer for sure! I know they brought the OG back on a limited run, but I do miss the ol' bomber days and the variations they did on it. Cheers
Have you tried the current version (now made by Drake's brewing I believe)? It's really a shadow of its former self.
Maybe it’s just my nostalgia but I definitely agree. That was one of the first few craft beers I ever got into. I remember feeling fancy picking up a sixer for $7.99 now and again at Kellys in San Jose almost 20 years ago. Good memories of going to the pub in Healdsburg too.
