Birthdays around the corner and I've decided to finally scratch that Cantillon itch. I know MN doesn't allow you to ship in alcohol from other beer sites. Was curious to see if anyone has used BIAB recently and their thoughts?

They will ship here. My wife got me a smattering of Belgians for xmas and I have a crate of Westy 12 on its way right now (so excited!).

On this vein, are you looking to unload any of that Cantillon? I've often wondered if any BAs would be interested in splitting shipments to get a deal on volume.

This order is compliments of my girlfriend , so I'm not entirely sure I can expand on this one. I will post back later.

I also noticed shipping levels are in 5kg incriments. . I couldnt tell if shipping gets cheaper as you increase or if it's just set shipping measure

Ive hacked their shipping costs and it gets cheapest at 30kg. then it gets more expensive again, so your target should be 30kg, but no more if you want the cheapest possible shipping

They have 10kg packs which make this easier for common things like 3F OG or Cantillon guezue. I believe its (5) 750's and (1) 375 = 10kg for reference.

this is something I made up for 3F OG:
    1 box 34+56 ship (10kg) =90.63 euro total = $124 =$.89/oz = 22.60/bottle
    2 box 68+76 ship (20kg) =144.29 euro total = $197 =$.70/oz = 17.18/bottle
    3 box 102+99 ship (30kg) =202 euro total = $276 =$.66/oz = 16.76/bottle
    4 box 136+155 ship (40kg) =292 euro total = $400 =$.71/oz = 18.03/bottle

There's not too much more cost saving between 20 and 30kg, which is good to note

the $16.76 per bomber of 3F OG is why i refuse to spend $20+ on many beers now...thats pretty damn hard to beat in my book.

I just put in an order 2 weeks ago just under 10kg with a mix of Cantillon and Westys. We'll see how it goes - it hasn't shipped yet. Anyone know the typical time it takes from order submission to ship date to delivery date (standard shipping) to midwest US (MN)?

Just in case you don't know, they have 30kg packs of 3F OG (17 750's and 1 375). 199.37 euro with shipping

That's a good and simple deal ^. if you choose 30kg of any beer (17 750's or whatever) its the same shipping price too, so you can mix and match if you want.

Was curious if anyone has had to pay any Custom's fees?

Nope, hasn't come up yet in roughly 10 orders from Belgium.

My box of Belgium just arrived so that puts shipping time at about 7 business days. Not too shabby!

What about the time between order submission/payment and date it shipped out from Belgium?

That was the full time from beginning to end. I ordered on the 6th and the payment was processed that day. I got a tracking number on the 13th and it had already cleared US customs by then. Actually looking back at the tracking info, they tried to deliver on Saturday but my office was closed.

I should note that my order was a case of one kind of beer, so maybe it was easier to pull together and therefore shipped faster. I just realized that you've been waiting a bit longer for yours.

Hmm - I placed/paid order on March 5, they updated status to "Preparation of your order" on the 7th. Nothing since then, they haven't responded to my email inquiry from a week ago. Maybe they ran out of stuff? I had:
    Westvleteren Blond
    Westvleteren 8
    Cantillon Gueuze 2013 Lambic Bio
    Cantillon Gueuze 2011 Lambic-Bio 37.5 cl
    Cantillon Kriek 2013 37.5 cl
Cantillon Rosé de Cambrinus 2013 37.5 cl
    Cantillon Kriek 2013 75 cl
Cantillon Grand Cru Bruocsella 75 cl
