So I was hoping to get some Westy 12 from trappistworld and then saw the prices and shipping prices. Was wondering if anyone would want to go in with me to buy some and split it? Never had Westy before and really only looking for one bottle. Could add on some Cantillon as well? Message me if you are interested and I'll see the kind of response we get. Current Prices: 6 Westy ($113.17 total or $66.76 + shipping) = $20/each for 6 people to get 1 or $40/each for 3 people to get 2 6 Westy + 6 Cantillon Iris ($331.22 total or $192 + shipping) = $55 each for 6 people to get 1 Westy and 1 Loon I know these prices are pretty crazy, but may be easier with a group. I understand you want to try Westvleteren and you're looking to split the 6-pack of bottles. I know when Westvleteren gets released in the Twin Cities, some places will sell it for $20/bottle and not make you buy an entire brick. Was just thinking you might find it hard to get enough people on board so you can place an order. FWIW, shipping goes up proportionately with how much you order on Trappist World. By adding more beers, you don't save on shipping like you do with Être Gourmet or Belgium in a Box.
Westy doesn't get released in the Twin Cities. It was released one time - on 12/12/12 - to help them fund a new roof. They have said it was a one shot deal.
