Best bottle shops in MSP area?

    I am taking a trip to Minneapolis/St. Paul this weekend and was wondering where the best places are to pick up some beers for a small haul.

    I plan on checking out Surly also, but do they sell cans at the brewery? And would it still be possible to find some Darkness/BA Darkness? If not, what bottles that I could age should I keep my eye out for?

    Surly is for on site consumption only, no cans or growlers.

    Chances of finding BA Darkness bottles is next to nothing and pretty slim for Darkness bottles. Best chances are small rural stores on the far outskirts of beyond of the Twin Cities. You will probably need to set up a trade.

    As for bottle shops, a place like Zipps, South Lyndale or France 44 is going to be a good on stop shop for a haul.

    I would check out Sisyphis, Todd the Axeman should be on tap this week. As for bottles, if you like milk stouts, Lift Bridge Irish Coffee Stout maybe worth a try.

    Blue Max is not too far off 35 in Burnsville and had a good selection. Just remember...no bottle shops are open on Sundays, so make your haul on Friday or Saturday.
