I know they have a few in the top 250, but anything from Prairie makes me happy

Victory Java Cask most likely... I mean damn, better than probably every single big coffee RIS I've had but because its made by a larger brewery doesn't get near the attention it should have. Beautiful beer. Every share I brought a bottle along with me to people commented on how amazing it was, many surprised when I show who produced it. The rye variant this year was also so delicious!

I have done this once and I find that I liked the Wulver better, wasn't like a landslide or anything as they are both fine beers but the Wulver was more pleasant to my tastes. Even a tiny bit better for me was Clown Shoes' Ride the Lion.

If there's a genuine difference between those two styles it's primarily an invention of American home brewers and/or craft brewers.

I would be remiss if I didn't give a shout out to Against The Grain's - The Brown Note.

I had my 1st (and only) beer in over a month last night, and it was my beer or choice. I have about 10 other brewery/style beers in the fridge, that I bypassed.

Maybe it's the label that turns people off, not sure.. but think it's a great representation of a British Brown Ale. Nice flavors, a tad bit of hops, low ABV.

I'd definitely "second" Thirsty Dog as being a great - low profile - brewery with great options (i.e. Wulver, BBA Siberian Night, et al.)

I'd also add White Rajah by Brew Kettle out of Strongsville, OH is well worth seeking out. Not sure if its in the Top 250, but if it isnt then it deserves to be.

A lot of the stuff mentioned here isn't unknown. :astonished:

I don't know how many of you guys know about Dark Sky Brewing out of AZ, but their BA coffee stout Red Eyed Zombie is killer stuff. The mouthfeel is a little thin, but everything else about it is fabulous.

Almost any Aardwolf stout. They do phenomenal BA and non BA stuff.

I loved Java cask, it's definitely underrated, but it gets great ratings don't know how unknown it is.

    Hopenstein by Benny Brew Co.

He was originally brewing out of a restaurant a little way from my town. He has recently moved to a larger production facility.

I'd like to add another beer to my unknown list: Monacacy Brewing - Brewtus

It's a coffee imperial stout and only 8.6 ABV. I was quite surprised at this one.
