I'm not sure about biggest, but the heaviest box I think I've sent was 47 lbs – not surprisingly, mostly NG fruits. :-)

I think double boxing is okay, but IMHO a better solution is an appropriately-sized double-walled bottle shipper. For a case of 12oz brews, I'd go with a 24-bottle styro shipper as mentioned above.

You trust Fedex with 12 shippers with 750s?

Wowza. Was there a small child in the box?
I've pushed upper 40's and thought that was a lot.

I shipped a 61 pound box from IL to California. Contents included a case of 750ml bottles and a case of 12oz bottles. I used a large moving box with a ton of padding and tape reinforcement on the inside and outside of the bottom of the box. 750 case box(12 bottles) on the bottom with a 12oz case box(24 bottles) on top of the large format bottles with loads of padding inbetween and on the sides of each box. The box is so heavy that it wont be mishandled by the carrier. I didn't have any bottles break in shipping. If you want more info send me a message and I can give you some more info. Cheers!

I had an inbound box that was a full case of Zombie Dust in a normal size kinda box, a marvel in shipping and not one problem at all. I put too much padding in to ship great big boxes, but 9-10 bombers is my max.

I keep seeing this thing you have for using shirts as packing material, but I haven't seen anything that tells how you have so many shirts that you can ship them off willy-nilly. What is your secret?

This is accurate. I believe on was 47lbs and the other was 44lbs.

Largest box I sent out was for the original SWTFYW BIF in a box...shipped to @ripps1 and believe the box was 56lbs...

But we're both in Illinois, so any trade we would do would likely be IP. I guess I'll just never know :slight_frown:.

I ship 30-40 pound boxes on the regular. Largest i shipped was 44 pound's. Largest i received was 52 pounds . Splitting in 2 boxes makes shipping cost too much $$$

I think it was somewhere in the upper 40s. If I remember correctly, I used a double walled box with a 1 inch thick corrugated cardboard piece in the bottom. Lots of padding around the inside and bottom, and I made sure to stuff as much packing material in the box to minimize any movement.

I once shipped a box that weighed in around 37lbs. I packed 3 boxes inside a massive box. Prefer to never have to ship a box that big every again since not only was it a PITA to bring to my car and then carry into Fedex, but also the cost to ship it dented my checking account.
