Black note stout 2018?

    Has the 2018 batch been released yet? Will there be a 2018 batch?

    I’m realizing stores in my area have recently been getting in last year’s batch and I just assumed since it was packaged in October last year, it would be the same again this year...

    I had it on tap today at Hopcat in Grand Rapids. Haven't heard anything about/seen in bottles yet though

    I just don't get the attraction of Black Note, and don't understand why it sells when KBS is so plentiful. I find it thin, bitter, and lacking bourbon flavor. I have had it several times, and it just doesn't compare to the many other BBA stouts I've had. Perhaps an unpopular opinion...

    Are you comparing Black Note correctly to KBS? BN doesn't have coffee, so it's a different beer for comparison.

    To the OP, Bell's has given no hint of a 2018 release of Black Note. They have said that a BA version of Third Coast Old Ale will be released.     Now that’s a beer I was excited about till I read 750 format only. Might still buy one if I see it as a thanksgiving treat.

    Unfortunately, it's likely to be a Bell's General Store only release.

    Personally I love Black Note for being subtle and in my mind more integrated. I will say the last bottle release was my least favorite of the last several. I hope this next one is on. Love KBS as well and last one was really good for me and a case made a lot of folks on a fishing trip happy.

    Local place has several kegs of BN from years past and two years ago put on 2010/11. Unbelievable. The bubbles on that head were like whipped heavy cream and a half a finger thick. The beer was so smooth and, yes bourbon was there.
