Trying to finish a project where I am using bottle caps to spell out words. Missing a cap with a M, P, E, L, & R. Looking for them to just have a single letter on them like the new almanac ones with just an A on it or Harpoons H caps. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!
The only help that I can offer is that Brau Brothers has a '3' on a cap that may substitute for an E if you turn it upside down. Unfortunately it is not the standard curved '3' on both loops. http://braubeer.com/ And my notes say that Medale Brewing (an import) has an M on its cap. I can't find anything about this brewery in the BA database or Googling that name, so it may no longer exist. (Or I misspelled the name in my cap collection log.)
Pilsner Urquell has just a P on it if you dont mind the background The coloring is different from mine with the white and green being replaced by gold except for the part touching the barrel
I was going to say the same thing about Widmer, but Wormtown would work even better since there is no extra writing on the cap.
Thank you for all of your input so far! Going to try and track down a worm town cap now and look for the something with a 3 on it possibly.
Indeed it was a typo/misspell on the Medale Brewing that I wrote above. I was able to find the cap in my display, and now I know that it is for a beer from Puerto Rico called Medalla Light. http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/846/8107/ There are recent reviews of this beer on this linked page, but I highly suspect from the pic on the page that the beer may only be available in cans now. (The 'M' logo on the can is what the cap looks like.) I can't recall drinking this beer, so it's been a while ago that I bought the bottle that gave me this cap for my collection. Also, I do not recall where I bought it, although I've never been to Puerto Rico, so it was an imported beer to the U.S. when I found it. Maybe someone who reads this post can comment whether it is still available in the U.S. and whether it is in bottles.
Goose Island produced this 'L' cap or 'E' 'A full-bodied...'from Gluek Brewing Reflow, Inc or Minnesota Brewing Company Milwaukee Brewing Co (comes in different colours) Mercury Brewing Co, Mass. Mustang Brewery, OK Pennsylvania Brewing Co Redd's Brewing Co (lots of different varieties) Rainier Brewing Co, Washington (a number of varieties) Hope this helps with the quest. Happy hunting.
The easiest R would probably be Rodenbach. They are everywhere. Leinenkugel for L? Did a quick search and looks like the old/original caps only have "L".
