Bottle Logic Brewing (2020)

I found out at 12:15 AM last night when I tried searching the Evenbrite site for bottle logic, it was the only "live" event

 

It was a one-off, but it seems to have picked up some traction recently. We're just about in peach season now, so it won't come together this year -- maybe next summer?

What is the typical sticker price for something like PCC?

 

It was $27.31 after fees on eventbrite. Most liquor stores that got distribution are probably asking around $30 which I think seems fair.

 

Just curious, is there a BL membership/club? I have looked around but I can't seem to find any info about it.

 

Not technically.

The closest thing to a membership they have is a reward for attending all seven days of their annual Week of Logic anniversary party. The reward is to be able to buy one bottle in advance of the public sale. With Covid though, they've upped that to full allotments (or a bottle over full allotment) prior to public sale so people are able to taste bottles and give feedback. This year's reward is called "Saving Throw." The name changes each year. Saving Throw members can also buy the full allotment at public sale if they want to/are able to.

Nothing is paid to BL (other than pints of beer bought during WoL) and nothing included other than the ability to buy bottles in advance. WoL is traditionally held in late March, however, this year's was originally delayed due to tasting room expansion and stuff, and was scheduled to be held in Fall instead. Not sure what will happen with that due to Covid.

 

not sure if its been mentioned here, but IO is the first to bear the new statis label design, which includes the removal of the levels system from their bottles.. Lindsay mentioned on BLTF that the levels system was confusing for a lot of better so they just got rid of it.. they HAVE added batch numbers to the labels.

 

Does level indicate batch size with higher levels indicating smaller batches?

How does one get into BLTF if they don't know anyone in the group?

 

'Small scale' and 'small batch' are both used to describe level 2, so it seems it does indicate batch size, at least to some extent.

 

I'd also like to get into this group, who can vouch for me BA!?

 

id say PM a mod or admin. im sure someone you frequent with on BA is in there and can vouch though?

That was a pretty quick sale. I really wanted to get a crowler of Intrepid but BL same day pickups are really hard if you live out of the area. Keep em coming BL.

 

Looks like next Stasis release dropping is either Voltaic Stack (BA stout w/ bananas, walnuts, maple syrup and cinnamon) or Ghost Proton (BA stout w/ marshmallows, cacao nibs and graham crackers). Had a preview crowler of Ghost Proton a couple months back, it was fantastic.

 

Both sound divine. Can’t keep up with these releases man.
