    Hey All
I just bought my tickets to Brewvival. This is my first time attending this fest. Been to Hunahpu Day and Maple Bacon down here in aflorida. Any pointers or tips or rumors of who is pouring? I found the 2015 tap list but didn't see the 2016 one. And I see they aren't announcing who or what is pouring for 2017. Any helpful comments welcome!
    Cheers

They didn't release the list last year and are not going to this year. There is a statement on their website about why they don't and what the focus of the festival is now. It was awesome last year with amazing beers. You will not be disappointed!

I see that announcement about 2016 and 2017. However, I was hoping to find an after-the-festival list of what was poured last year. Also, if they don't announce it before hand, do you get a pamphlet or anything like a map with breweries/taps upon arrival? Or do you not even know who is there, where they are, or what they are pouring?

Easiest way is to check the Untappd location for last year's checkins.

One week away. Not much talk about it this year. I for one, am excited. I wonder what the "new feature" they referenced on social media is?

just bought a ticket to this. never been before, but i'm excited.

pretty cool that they keep the breweries secret. anyway, looking forward to it! edmund's oast is hosting a few breweries that will be at the event the night before, so that's at least some clue.

Yeah, I think not putting the list out means less for people to bitch and moan about which is so popular on BA. It's gonna be a good time. I have never been upset with the list in the last 5 years that i have gone.

I agree that the beer list has been outstanding over the years, however I was a bit frustrated with last year, because with an hour and a half left in the fest, most breweries were completely out of beer.

Until I hear that this is resolved appropriately, I won't be attending.

Brewvival is an excellent beer fest. The guys at Coast and Edmund's Oast who put it on really know their stuff (which is apparent if you've ever taken a gander at EO's tap list on any given day). It's hard not to be skeptical when attending a festival for the first time and they don't release the tap list...but I have no doubt your fears will be alleviated come 12 noon on Saturday.

I've heard this argument about last year's Brewvival quite a bit, but I personally think last years Brewvival was easily the best beer festival I have ever been too. I do think you are exaggerating quite a bit with the number that ran out at the time point in which they ran out, although I do agree with the idea that at an all you can drink beer event the majority of breweries should not run out of beer. Even if that means they pour their shelf turds for the last hour of the fest. Regardless, it definitely won't stop me from going again this year. The quality of beers being poured is absolutely insane. Last year there was a "Belgium" table (aka Cantillon table) that was essentially unattended once Fou was kicked. That just tells you how high quality the beers being poured were, no one even seemed to care about the Cantillon. A+ beer fest without a doubt.

No, not exaggerating, I left one hour early because lines got extremely long at spots where beers was still pouring. Wrecking Bar brought three sixtels ( so I heard) and stopped 1.5 hours into the fest. Cantillon was a nice suprise, I must admit.

However, I'd rather go to EO the night before then spend $160 (two of us) on a fest where beer availability is questionable and lines are exhausting (Esp. Westbrook)

I missed last year after going for two years in a row -- the WESTBROOK line was long? Really?

We're going to EO on Thursday night, because you know Friday night will be World War III.

So again, agree to disagree. I was there at 1.5 hours and most everyone was still pouring. I was there at 1 hour and breweries were dropping off but it was still easy to get beer (although nothing super special was left). Now granted there were outliers that ran out super early, but if you bring 3 sixtels to a 1,500 person 5 hour beer fest, well what do you expect. I generally agree with your complaint about breweries running out, I just feel the "everyone ran out of beer super early" narrative isn't exactly accurate. I also think the lines were exceptionally reasonable last year, again there were outliers but if you skipped Westbrook and a couple of others that were slammed than the lines weren't bad at all. You could pretty much walk up to any number of breweries with no lines and grab something immediately.

But to each their own, I understand the draw of a cheaper experience more personalized at EO the night before. I also understand the gripe about the cost. But it keeps numbers down and helps keep the crowd solid. I mean there's a reason you don't see a bunch of the bullshit (line jumps/bickering/hell even fights) that occur at other beer fests.

Mum is the word on the breweries/beers, but the food truck list was announced. Short Grain will be there, please god do that Big Mac rice bowl thing you did last year. Pretty sure that was the best thing I have ever put in my mouth.

Anyone have any idea what Jester King is bringing to Oast on Friday night? I've been internally debating how much I'd blow on Atrial but it's probably a huge longshot that I'd even have the chance to overpay.

I have no insider information for this year but I am almost 100% sure that Atrial has been at EO's Brewvival event in past years.
