I just got back from another trip to Budapest, and thought I'd update you fine folks on new beer stuff going on in the city.

    Constellation
Constellation is an outstanding new taphouse/bistro that is a collaboration between Brew Your Mind and Gravity Brewing. BYM is easily my favorite Hungarian brewery, but they are located over 2 hours away from Budapest by bus, so having this new spot right in the heart of the city is awesome. In addition to a great selection of BYM and Gravity beers, they also have excellent food. Easily my top recommendation for the city.

    Beer People
Owned by two Americans, Beer People is an great new beer bar also in the heart of the city. They don't have a ton of taps, 8 or so, but what's there is well-curated and the vibe is just super welcoming and you can tell it is run by true beer advocates, as it were.

    Zenta Kraft by Etyeki
Etyeki is one of my favorite breweries in Hungary, and like Brew Your Mind they are located out in the countryside and not convenient to get to. But earlier this year, they opened Zenta Kraft close to the heart of the city on the Buda side of the river. They've got a great beer selection and the pubby atmosphere really can't be beat.

    Unity Bar & Brewery
Unity is relatively new, so they don't have a ton of beers of their own yet, but they feature other local breweries on tap as well. The taproom is nice, especially the front part, and it's worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood.

    HopTop
HopTop has been around for quite a while, but they didn't really have a taproom before. Now they have built a brand-new, pretty large brewhouse across the street from their old location, and have a taproom and restaurant now. They are pretty out of the way (maybe 30-40 minutes from the city center by public transit), but could be worth a visit if you're out that direction anyway (they're in Kőbánya near Mad Scientist and Horizont).

    Tacet
Tacet is a very new contract brewery with a taproom close to the city center on the Pest side. I was pretty impressed by their beers, and the taproom has a hip and interesting vibe -- the owner is obviously a horn player, and I think this is the first brass-instrument-themed taproom I've ever been to .
