Hello, heading to St. Pete in a couple weeks. Have all of my craft beer stops figured out thanks to this forum, but would like to find a place/s in St. Pete that serves Busch Light, on tap, cans or bottles, doesn’t matter. Prefer places in Downtown St. Pete or St Pete beach if possible. Thanks!
Anheuser-Busch has a website listing all their wholesale distributors (w/phone numbers, some with website links) at https://www.abwholesaler.com/common/wholesaler-locator/ I'd guess that Great Bay (in Largo and Holiday) covers your area - many distributors aren't exactly "consumer-friendly" but you might get lucky and get someone who cares about your request.
http://www.greatbaybud.com/products/product-locator/ They have a product locator, looks like Pelican Pub is the downtown location - I wouldn’t recommend drinking there, they’re very scuzzy, there was a bedbug outbreak linked to them a few years ago. Several choices for St Pete Beach, I’m unfamiliar with them and can’t recommend any of them either way.
Busch Light | Anheuser-Busch | BeerAdvocate Loved this review here on BA.....maybe this guy would know. @MK41 5/5 rDev +177.8% look: 5 | smell: 5 | taste: 5 | feel: 5 | overall: 5 First let's start by saying Busch light or any mass produced light beer you can get in a 30 rack is for ACTUAL beer drinkers. This is not some froo froo hipster man bun pumpkin spice latte ale you sip on a picnic blanket. This is for a hot day a cold day or any day you want ice cold delicious refreshment. This is a mowing beer, a tailgating beer, a golfing beer or a shower beer. You stick these in ur coveralls when ice fishing and u slam them while watching football... Go to any local watering hole or REAL bar and most likely will find it on tap and will probably even have a night dedicated to half off cans of this sweet ice cold nectar. This is a beer that offers that kind of refreshment that makes you say ahhhhh wow that's cold. I can't imagine having some IPA on a hot summer day or with a burger or wings??... Up at the ol bar by my factory u can see men in there every night slamming these babies down while calling the one craft beer on tap monkey piss. These are men, equipment operators, laborers, union guys farmers factory workers etc... This is what they drink they wouldn't drink an IPA if you paid them. They count there beer in cases not cans. To all the soy boys that love craft beer so much and nurse one with dinner this is a proper man's beer of choice. It goes great with grease and dirt on your hands after a long days work. The sound of the first one being cracked just puts a smile on your face whether after a long day or right at the first tee shot at a 7am tee time. Truly a beer for Americans. Most beers with high ratings here wouldn't get touched by anyone I know. This in my opinion is the definition of a beer drinker's beer. God bless America. Jul 11, 2020 Report
Nope, Miller Lite is a non-starter for my non-craft friends. They would probably settle for Coors Light, but wouldn’t be happy about it.
Ha, I’ve drank at nearly all of the top 100 breweries in the world and still prefer an ice cold Busch Light to everything else (although a 10+ year old 3F OG is a close second). I even travel with it....see below https://thriftytraveler.com/busch-light-travel/
I actually drank at the Pelican Pub quite a bit back in 2005-2007 when I was in my mid-20’s when I’d visit a buddy in St. Pete. It was definitely a dive bar even back then, but never seemed any dirtier than any other dive bar.
