Hey fellow BA’s, my first time creating a thread on this site since I’d like to get some input. I’m fairly new to cellaring/aging beers and I want your thoughts on stashing away a few bottles of Dogfish Head’s Mixed Media. For those unfamiliar, it’s basically a beer/wine hybrid brewed with 51% grain and 49% grape must.

I would assume the wine-like characteristics would make it a good candidate for aging a while, but if anyone has experience aging this type of beer I’d love to hear about it!

I would read out in the Side Project thread in the Midwest forum. Indicate that you are aware that Side Project did a beer somewhat similar, and ask if anyone has had any success in cellaring that.

Disclaimer: I believe that beer was only released in 2018? Not sure.

Thanks for the info, and yeah it was 2018 only, bottled 6/1/18 but I found a six pack at my local liquor store. Even with over a year on it it’s good, though I don’t have a fresh one to compare it to
