I'm planning on my next batch of beer being a Bell's Smitten clone. I have a 12 pack of Two Hearted cans on my fridge, and am wondering if anyone has had any luck making a yeast starter from Bells can dregs (obviously I've had success with bottles before).

I know the cans are unfiltered and unpasteurized, but I don't see anything on the can saying it's "can conditioned". Obviously there is not a lot of yeast in a Two Hearted can, so a lot of dregs would go into the starter

I have never tried to culture yeast from the cans. I would be very thorough on sanitizing the top.
