Darklord Day 2017

2015 and 2016 they IP tickets were sold on a random weekday, announcement made early morning. They lasted into the afternoon.

Before that it was on a random weekend and people started driving in from out of town on a hunch and tickets in 2014 sold out within an hour.


Also, this has just as much with every post here as mine, but the #1 mistake in dark lord planning is assuming something is the same as the year before. I've been to 5 of these and could write a book on the amount of stuff that changes year to year.

 

Do it. Write a book. I'll read it.

On site ticket sales breakdown (All were Group A tickets):

2012:

• Sunday March 18, 2012 at 9:30am. 2 per person.
• Saturday April 7, 2012.

2013:

• Sunday March 24, 2013. One per person.
• Sunday April 7, 2013. One per person.
• Friday April 12, 2013. One per person.

2014:

• Saturday April 12, 2014. At 8am. One per person.

2015

• Tuesday April, 7 2015. At 6 am. One per person.

2016

• Monday, April 11th at 7am. One per person. Sold out by 4pm.

 

I was able to request the ticket group I wanted on this date and took group C.

 

Oh nice, didn't realize that.

 

That year they sold out with like 5 people in front of me and I was sure there were line cutters in front of me as the line was long as hell.. shit really grinds my gears *insert peter griffin meme here*

 

Heres hoping that all of the varients are good this year instead of the garbage the have passed off as worthwile in years past. LOL who am I kidding.

 

Maybe they troll us this year and we literally get a soy sauce variant.

 

PHEW! We almost made it a whole page without a soy sauce reference. WE DID IT GUYS!!

 

Speaking of sauce, I just found that hot sauce from last year. Probably no good anymore (and won't likely buy it again). Was that hot sauce any good?

It blew up in 2 of my friends' fridges.

 

I have no idea, mine exploded in the pantry.

Technically it wasn't. The problem was that nobody was really being told to refrigerate it as it had live bacteria from the beer in it. I was given a full refund however.

 

Two years ago that was the case.

 

Oh, wow. Had no idea that the refrigerated ones blew up too.

 

So was last year's.

Or better yet, a soy sauce made with Dark Lord...

The hot sauce, the Dark Matter Coffee aged in DL barrels, the Copper and Kings aged in DL barrels. Think it is mostly a gimmick and we fall hook, line and sinker for it.

At prop day someone was selling BCBS cigars. I asked a random person who bought one and was smoking it if they could discern any hints of BCBS, they laughed and said "nope."

 

Just to clarify I don't think they "exploded" I think they started gushing and didn't stop.

 

I'll open mine today (outside the house) and report back.
