Come to Akron Ohio.
Or attend a Kid Rock concert.
You'd be surprised. My in-laws have family in Michigan City, Indiana. That's pretty far north (in Indiana). They definitely share some sentiment with the South and it rising again.
I lived in Lansing (the next town over in Illinois) for 25 years, I've seen plenty of those people
Clearly you've never been to the Wisconsin state Fair
TBH, I've seen more self-branding with confederate flags in the North than the South throughout the entirety of my life. I was born in Texas and have spent a lot of time in Louisiana and Florida as well. For most people I know in Ohio and Michigan that do this, it's more of an "in your face" thing, and there's a glaring lack of historical relevance or awareness in all of that.
I'm surprised more people don't like the metal and hardcore stuff they book. I'm really stoked that Amon Amarth is playing, but HIGHLY doubt I will make it until their set. I'm also wondering if drinking horns will be allowed into the fest?
I don't see why not. We bring in literal tons of giant glass bottles. As long as it's empty to start, since it is a container.
What time of day have they played in the past?
There's a saying in Michigan City...Kentucky starts south of Highway 12.
I have, though perhaps I was blinded by the temporary diabetes from the cream puffs they have.
They haven't, but it's safe to assume they're the closing act which won't go on until last. With DLD ending at 9 I'm guessing they'll go on at 7:30.
So...anyone get that e-mail saying the tickets have been shipped yet
love me some One Trick Pony
Such great beer at OTP. I'm part of the mug club there, unfortunately since I moved up here it doesn't get used as much
FWIW, someone on the FB DLD page said they got notification from FedEx their tickets shipped.
<grain of salt>
Just checked my confirmation email from etix and it states this for shipping. That FedEx grain of salt just got bigger.
Regular Mail: USPS TRACKABLE PRIORITY MAIL
Was there an option other than USPS?
Yes, there were a couple options for shipping tickets.
I don't recall there being an option to change the shipping method. That being said, I was in such a rush to get the order submitted that I probably did not pay much attention to the shipping method.
It's not possible. It's in the Geneva Convention. Look it up.
I guess I missed that.
If I remember correctly, the difference in the shipping charge between USPS and FedEx for the tickets was like $6-7 compared with approx. $20. Easy to not remember, as I don't think that is much of a choice at all if you have any faith in the postal service.
Last year I went the FedEx route and I got my tickets after many people had already received theirs with USPS. This year I choose not to spend the extra $ for no good reason.
USPS are beasts. I don't know how they do it, but in my experience, they go at lightspeed compared to FedEx, and FedEx ain't no slouch usually.
...talking many things, not just tickets
I just received an email from FedEx. My tickets should be here on Friday!
Pic / Screen shot or it's not true.
Does USPS also send an e-mail notification when tickets are shipped?
I thought I remembered seeing one before, but it depends on the shipper. I can't say for certain regarding these ones.
You're supposed to know these things.
I went with USPS last year and did receive a notification that my tickets shipped. Email was sent through Etix with a tracking #.
I sent Etix an e-mail inquiring about the tickets. I'm curious to see their response. The lack of info lately has me bored. I'll post their response as soon as I hear something.
Can't wait till you get their FFF-like response .... "You'll get them when you get them"
I think we need to find @ChiCubs78 a hobby to keep himself busy over the next month.
Or, that's funny, we don't see your name on the list. We'd better refund your payment.
No doubt. FFF probably gave them pre-typed responses to use.
This is my hobby. Always the poopy head you are.
It'd be worse for my buddy as I sold him my set of tickets. My wife has the good ones
"The venue is shipping the tickets this week. It usually takes 7-10 days for delivery."
So, there we have it.
