I've done some forum searching but haven't found an answer to my question. My brother-in-law will be in Minneapolis next week, and I was wondering if there are any Darkness bottles still around, and if so, where should I steer him? Thanks in advance!
Chances of finding Darkness on the shelves are slim to none. His best bet would be to check small stores that are off the beaten path. Have you considered having him try an IP trade?

Okay, thanks for the replies. Kind of what I thought. I'll have him pick up some Coffee Bender instead.
Great...thanks. He won't be at my place until Christmas, so I won't have him searching for any IPA's, but any other suggestions for local gems appreciated.
Where is he coming from? IP trade would be more than doable, wouldn't even need anything amazing. I think several people have about 15 bottles on their own... I believe a Darkness hot tub was mentioned! Have him post what he has. Lots of people buy Darkness just to trade.
Steel Toe Lunker and Indeed Rum King may still be on shelves as well. Ive seen both the past few days
Indeed Rum King. Still on the shelves around the cities (again look for a little less well known stores) and it goes for around 16-18 bucks. Amazing beer.
Theres a thread for that: http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/twin-cities-bottle-hunt.245463/
Anybody know if and when the BA darkness will hit the stores? I know there was some talk about it being December but haven't heard anything concrete beyond that. Thanks
I'm not sure if your bro-in-law is willing to drive 1.5 hrs north, but it might be worth giving Westside Discount Liquor in Little Falls a call (320 632 2582). The Little Falls store has done an outstanding job increasing their craft beer selection & since not many people in the LF area are craft drinkers, there always seems to be plenty of great beer in the coolers (90% of their craft beer is kept cold). The store Manager, Tricia informed me that they received Darkness bottles, not sure how many or if there are any left, but might be worth the effort. I was a little torn between keeping this store a secret or spreading the word, (I guess I just made that decision), but Tricia, Troy, & the rest of the crew at the Little Falls store have worked hard to improve their craft selection & I would like to see them succeed & continue providing a great craft beer. Check them out!
