Darkness in Stores

The Liquor Barrel in Crystal mentioned they were supposed to get their shipment in today last time I stopped in earlier this week.

The safer bet, get ready to pay $30+ for any store that still has it in the metro or be ready for a nice little road trip for those far flung stores.

 

Is Surly shipping another wave of Darkness to liquor stores, or did they just ship almost all of it this week?

 

Don't think their will be another wave like last year. A good chunk of stores got it Monday and the rest seemed to get it this week. There is a chance that some places will get theirs next week, but guessing it won't be many.

Last years second wave is because the brewed another batch mostly for Chicago.

 

Shorewood Liquors got 1 case, and had maybe 8-10 bottles left around lunchtime. I'd call first, but they were charging $24.99.

 

I think Lowry Hill still had some today, at least the sign was still up $25

 

I got a bottle at U.S. Liquor and Wine in Minnetonka about an hour ago.

 

Interesting. When I called at 6 they said they were sold out. Probably wanTed only regulars to get it

 

His list usually is too long before a major release like this.
I used to score bottles there, but the drive isn't worth my time any more.

He's very fair, as far as I can tell.
Just watch you're dates on some of the stock on the shelves..

 

Could still be around Rochester, but I don't know for sure. I went out Wednesday and it was everywhere.

 

Lowry hill still has some and I see someone prob from here grabbed the rest of their rum kings! Dang

 

I went to Lowery Hill on Monday and they wanted $29.99 - i told them they were crazy at checkout and then walked out.

 

Just picked up two Rum Kings at Westwood Liquors - Louisiana & Cedar Lake Road in St Louis Park

sorry if this is already addressed ( im from california). Is there some sort of distinction as far as labels on the bottle for BA vs. non BA?

 

Nope. All bottles are BA this year.

 

Went to a little hole in the wall place in the West 7th area this weekend and they had about 8 bottles in the cooler. I grabbed one and the owner who always seems to be in the back cooking Asian food came out with a bottle of 2013 Darkness for me. I put the BA Darkness back as I am more fond of the 2013 version.

 

Long shot here, but are there any Darkness bottles still available at any of the Minneapolis area bottle shops? Headed out tomorrow, and have time Sunday to drive to spots farther out of town. Thanks!

 

You can't purchase alcohol on Sunday in Minnesota.
