Yeah dude. If you haven’t been there go check it out... probably been to 25 shows there and literally never gets old. Its incredibly cool in the daytime too. Of all the stuff that gets hyped to shit wherever you’re at, Red Rocks always delivers.

Wife and I skipped falling rock on our last trip there. It used to be a never miss spot for us, but there is just so much to do in Denver you can't always hit them all. They do have a great selection of Colorado beer though for the first timer.

There are good, and easy, hiking trails literally all around Red Rocks. It's cool to drive up, park in one of the lots (upper north has trails that leave directly from the lot), and just walk around Red Rocks (it's open during the day till a certain time if there's an act that evening). It's worth seeing a show there no matter who it is.

I second that. We saw Bob Dylan up there, and while he was no different than a wet mop leaned up against a microphone stand, the view and atmosphere were great.

311 and method man and redman, let’s take it back to ‘95! How fast will this sell out?

I'm gonna say it and probably piss someone off, but denver biscuit company isn't that great. Fat sullys pizza is ok, but not worth the droves of hipsters and long wait times, go across the street and north a couple blocks to pie hole. Their pizzas are delicious and sometimes surprisingly original. Keep walking north to Sweet Action and pick up some stout ice cream or stranahans bourbon pecan.

I actually really like the Denver Biscuit Company and Fat Sully's, but it's a pain dealing with the prime time crowds at both. Luckily there's a DBC stand-alone inside the Stanley Marketplace. You can grab some biscuits and head over to Cheluna Brewing up the hall.

Down by TRVE, I'm still a fan of the Hornet. It's no Diablo's (RIP!), but it's still good stuff.

Sounds like it, however, it's incredibly fortunate that no one was hurt. Sounds like a pedestrian was hit at the Hornet crash, hope they are alright.

What is policy for bringing your own beer to red rocks concert? Better to just get there?

Mile High Wine and Spirits (In Belmar) usually has some. Also Small Batch Liquors sometimes. And Mr. B's downtown.

It's a-okay to bring your own stuff to tailgate in the parking lots. Can't bring into the amphitheater itself.

Inside, if you look hard enough there are some okay taps, but it's mostly Coors-related and Oskar Blues products.

Deets on the whereabouts of these ‘okay taps’...

the pat down isn’t too rough to where you can’t bring at least one tasty boi in with you. Brought one of these https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/30/28204/ in with me last summer, put it in another cup, and sipped on for most of the show.

It's been a while since I've been, and usually it's been after a few hours of tailgating so I'm struggling to recall a specific spot. Perhaps in my mind Oskar Blues counts as 'decent taps'.

Last summer, Red Rocks had Dale's tallboys and then on tap they had a couple of decent New Belgium offerings like Citradelic and maybe the Pilsner, Lagunitas IPA, and then they had a Blue Moon "Experimental West Coast IPA" that was actually really tasty. You have to kinda search around though because all the beer stations have different offerings.
