No, they really aren't, but I still have them from time to time. Taco Bell is also not too good but I have it now and again as well. I certainly wouldn't judge anyone who avoided it however.

Most free beers I get offered are of the light variety (usually Miller Lite, occasionally Coors Light), and I can't refuse a free beer.

Unless it's Minhas Light, then I'll politely yet firmly refuse it and have a talk with that person.

To sober up after a hot pace or early in the mornings after a nasty hangover. Not many things are better for a death hangover than a tall boy especially in a Vegas pool...

I'm not hating on any beer style because I'd probably drink any given the right situation. And have drank most. That said, I don't really understand the concept of "light beer". Presumably, it's a lower calorie version of the beer that you really wanted to drink. If you really wanna cut calories.... My suggestion is...don't drink the 24 pack of light beer which you and I and the Mega beer company know doesn't really taste good because if you don't drink it at a next to frozen temperature you might not put it in your mouth more than once..... Instead drink one delicious beer, savor it, then stop! Calories saved! No hangover and only good taste!

Let me just say if you are concerned about calories, you should not be drinking craft beer. I mean that in the nicest way. But I will say you can still be a beer advocate and be healthy. I walk about 20 miles a week, work out 3 days a week, eat protein and veggies, and limit my self to three beers a day. Unless Of course I have a night out at my local pub, then all best are off.

In terms of price point, I would rather spend a few extra bucks and get some good stuff. 4 to 5 extra dollars isn't a big deal to me. Of course I am not judging anyone that drinks Bud Light because I have had my time with it before I really knew about craft beer.

I've only had one (a Bud Light) in my life. Oddly I can't really remember it that well....

I drink Bud Light Lime in the summer while golfing, but besides that I rarely drink any "light/lite" beer throughout the year unless they are free.

Only those light beers that don't have "light" or "lite" in their name.

+1 for Guiness. I only drink true light beers if I'm doing something active in the sun like golf or softball.

If I'm at someone's house or an event (wedding, etc), I take what they have and am thankful and polite about it. The idea of a BA at a friend's house asking for a beer, seeing a fridge of BMC and saying, "nevermind" seems appalingly rude to me. It's possible to go a few hours without a craft brew, apparently. I know, I was shocked too.

Wachusett Light IPA. It's really awesome at 4% abv and 121 calories. Solid in 12 packs for $13+

I'll take a sip when I pour one in the pan for the brats but that's about the only time.
